Albal launches new science-based interior design concept in UAE
Albal Design, a contemporary design firm specializing in interior architecture, has launched the UAE’s first science-based concept called “Tafaseel” – which transforms any home or commercial space to reflect personality, style/ an individual’s mood or brand identity.
After years of research, Emirati interior designer Noura Alghandi developed the ‘Tafaseel’ concept – integrating psychology, music and art to provide design elements to enhance identity/style individual of a brand.
Tailor-made for each client and project, it allows for creative storytelling and the ability to turn it into tangible design, Albal Design said in a statement.
Customers have the freedom to express themselves by scribbling on a piece of paper to any music and blindfolded. Application of cognitive psychology to indicate a connection between shapes and feelings/memory – Albal’s team analyzes squiggles to extract details such as shapes, texture, colors and patterns.
This process helps to spark memories/emotions that they are most comfortable with, which then results in the creation of unique designs that can be applied to interiors, branding, furniture and even tailoring. , did he declare.
Alghandi said: “We spend so much time indoors – so your home, office or even a retail outlet should be able to reflect your personality, company culture/identity or be able to connect with a customer. Psychology and design go hand in hand – and this collaborative process simply helps articulate a client’s story to bring a fresh perspective and fantastic, unique design.”
“This design process can be incorporated into any space, resulting in improved productivity/sales in commercial projects, staff well-being, or a sanctuary for owners,” she added.
