There are a few video game franchises that could miss a year or two between releases. But for sure it’s not gonna be Call of Duty. COD has never missed a year since the release of Call of Duty 2 in 2005. If recent rumors are correct, then we get at least two new AAAs COD games over the next two years.

Highly Known Leaker Tom Henderson Revealed New Information About 2033 Call of Duty. Henderson is known to have disclosed specific information about the two COD and BF franchisees. His recent rumors about Battlefield 2042 and The vanguard of the call of duty has come true.

Call of Duty 2023

He recently responded to a tweet from Charlie Intel, where he mentioned that the 2023 Call of Duty will be in semi-future settings. It will also feature field boot gameplay, meaning it won’t have exoskeletons like in Advanced war and Black Operation 3.

Call of Duty 2022

That’s not all. Henderson also revealed updates on next year Call of Duty. According to him, 2022 COD is being developed by Infinity Ward, and it will be a sequel to Modern Warfare (2019). You can consult our previous article for more information.

Other semi-future military games

The last Call of Duty which took place in a semi-future setting was Covert operations 2. BO2 was released in 2012, and half of the game took place in 2025.

The next Battlefield game also takes place in a semi-future setting. The game is set in 2042 when climate change has created political unrest in the world. Millions of climate refugees banded together and formed No-Pat (short for No Patriot), a group loyal to no nation with one motive, to survive. We will love if the 2023 Call of Duty the game can crown such an intriguing plot.
