Casey Hudson’s Humanoid Studios is Working on a Cross-Platform AAA Sci-Fi Game

The new studio of former BioWare CEO Casey Hudson Humanoid studios, revealed some additional details about their first title. The upcoming cross-platform AAA game will be set in an all-new sci-fi universe and there’s concept art that gives players an idea of what they might expect.

What do we know about the new game from Humanoid Studios?

The first title from Humanoid Studios will be “a cross-platform AAA game, featuring character-driven storytelling in an all-new sci-fi universe.” the official studio website also includes several concept art images, as noticed ResetEra. The first image shows two astronauts exploring a rocky planet where there are remnants of ancient civilizations, or something I don’t want to encounter if the ginormous skull structure is anything to go by. Another image shows two astronauts on what is thought to be the same planet, but this time they appear to be collecting samples.

A third image depicts a bar/rest area in a modern space station, with a clear view of nearby planets looming through the window. Finally, there’s a completely different landscape that’s more reminiscent of Earth, with green fields, snow-capped mountains, and winding rivers. The only difference is that there are unknown but dazzling white structures nestled between the mountains and a few spaceships heading towards it. Although not shown in the images, the job postings suggest that we will also see some unique creatures, but whether they are friendly remains to be seen. The game is currently in the very early stages of development, so don’t expect any official announcements any time soon.

In other news, rumors have it that Ubisoft was set to hold a showcase event ahead of E3 2022 to show off several unannounced titles. These included games like Assassin’s Creed Rift and a new Prince of Persia game. Elsewhere, a new The Witcher game will kick off a whole new saga, but CD Projekt Red has kept most of the details to itself.
