Patty Jenkin’s Rogue squad soars to production, she says – film stories

The script for the next Star Wars movie is nearing completion and the director is putting together a crew to make this December 2023 release date.

Normally, a movie that goes through pre-production to the point where the cameras actually start rolling wouldn’t be considered news … but that’s a Star wars movie.

The iconic space opera series has had more than a few start-up issues under Disney’s direction, one of the main ones being how difficult it has proven to put the planned films into production. Both the planned Boba Fett film and the also planned Obi Wan Kenobi film fell into developmental hell and eventually emerged as Disney + shows instead. After leaving The Last Jedi, Rian Johnson has been said to be working on a brand new trilogy that has now been in development for years without a word about it … and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

And so, when a Star wars project goes through the Lucasfilm machine and in production it may be considered new, but this is what appears to be on the cards for the project Rogue Squadron movie, according to director Patty Jenkins.

the Wonder woman Helmer offered an update on the project, chatting with Hollywood journalist, stating “it’s going amazing. I was already there six months before I even announced it, so we’re pretty into it. We finish a script, we get together, and everything goes wonderfully. I am so excited about the story and excited that we are the next chapter of Star wars, which is such a responsibility and such an opportunity to really start new things. It’s really exciting that way.

We’ve come across some pretty well substantiated stories in the past that have explained how story decisions were influenced by Disney CEO Bob Iger. Jenkins, however, appears to be pleased with the levels of creative freedom she has been given, saying she was “free enough” to tell the story she wanted, while adding that the most compelling element was to tell. stick to the convoluted continuity of the saga.

“It’s a whole different way of working. I’m on the phone with everyone and I do Zoom meetings with everyone involved in Star Wars all the time. I’m pretty free to make the story we want to make, but you really need to know who’s done what, who’s doing what, where it’s going and how it’s working, and what designs have been done before. It’s a whole different way of working that I’m familiar with.

Everything sounds great so far, but we’ve seen Star wars the movies are entering production before things go as planned, so let’s wait and see what happens next. the Rogue Squadron books were among the funniest stories of the obsolete Star wars Expanded Universe though, so let’s hope the project comes to fruition. We will bring you more news as we hear it. It is scheduled for 2023.
